Godparent/Sponsor Affirmation

A person wishing to be a godparent or sponsor for the Sacraments of Baptism or Confirmation must be a practicing Catholic, at least 16 years of age, fully initiated (i.e., has received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation) and registered in the parish where he/she prays and worships regularly. If you are married, your marriage must be recognized as valid by the Church. Anyone requesting a Godparent/Sponsor Affirmation from this parish must meet these requirements. The person who has been asked to be a sponsor should, himself/herself, call the parish office.
